I think it’s always an exciting day. The entire year we have worked really hard keeping the recognition for it, the two Michelin stars. Allthough being certain of the stable level of the service and the food, the outcome is always exciting.
Besides that, you’re always curious about how other colleagues are doing. The hospitality industry is a small world and everybody knows each other. It’s also tradition to send your best wishes to the colleagues who have earned an extra star. When we received our second star the whole wall was filled with faxes and mails of colleagues. Very nice!
I totally agree with Pasquinel. We couldn’t be happier that Ciel Bleu and our downstairs neighbors Yamazato have kept the stars. You really do work a year accomplishing that. Great!
Unfortunately we couldn’t be present this morning when AT5 visited our kitchen to await the announcement of the stars for 2011. But tonight after dinner the whole team will drink a glass of Champagne to celebrate! Curious about their footage? You can see it tonight at 18.20 on AT5.
We would like to wish all the colleagues a lot of success with keeping their stars and extra congratulations to our colleagues who have earned an (extra) star!
With culinary greetings,
Pasquinel Kolk and Onno Kokmeijer on behalf of the Ciel Bleu Team
