Dear guest,

For a change, Onno Kokmeijer thought it would be nice to give a fellow-chef the opportunity to introduce himself via his weblog. Of course I cannot refuse that offer! The reason Onno thought of me is because I will be visiting Amsterdam soon. On the 11th of April 2010, Nils Henkel of Restaurant Lerbach*** in Bergisch Gladbach and I are invited to Ciel Bleu, to prepare a déjeuner dînatoire together with Onno Kokmeijer. Inauguration of SVH Winemaster

dsc02817_small.jpgOn 16 December 2009, I successfully accomplished my SVH-mastertest. I am proud to announce that I have been inaugurated as a SVH Winemaster, the highest degree for sommeliers in the Netherlands. The adornments belonging to this title were presented to me by Jean Trimbach, from the well-known wine domain in the Elzas.

Ciel Bleu wins Silver Oyster 2010 Press award!

pasquinel_en_vito.jpgOn Tuesday the 2nd of March my colleagues Pasquinel Kolk (Servicemanager Ciel Bleu) and Vito Reekers (Chef de Partie of Ciel Bleu) have won the ‘Silver Oyster 2010 press award’ for Ciel Bleu. This is the first year that Ciel Bleu participates in this annual competition for top restaurants.

2010 starts with a new menu!

After retaining the Michelin stars in Okura’s restaurants Yamazato and Ciel Bleu, it is time for changes. That is why mid-February, a new menu will be presented in restaurant Ciel Bleu, because as I always say: If you want to retain two stars, you will need to strive for three stars!
