Giving a lecture at the Hotel school in Wageningen

Enthusiasm all around at the lecture for future sommeliers

Last week I have given a lecture to students of the Hotelschool in Wageningen about the profession of sommelier and gastronomy in general. I have followed a course at the Hotelschool in Wageningen myself a time ago and therefore it is very nice to return to my old school once or twice a year. I am giving lectures twice a year and hope the students will take over my enthusiasm. hotelvakschool.jpg

The lecture includes an explanation about the Ciel Bleu restaurant and moreover we especially focus on what the profession is all about. I teach people how they should taste food and how they should taste wine. I wish to teach them more about the wine-food combination. I am enjoying making students enthusiastic about the profession of sommelier and gastronomy. It is great and motivating to inform people about my passion as a sommelier. In fact, I decide to become a wine expert myself after joining a lecture of another sommelier at school!
