Ciel Bleu meets...German wines |

Dear guest,
Onno Kokmeijer has also invited me to introduce myself via his weblog. As you probably know, a déjeuner dînatoire will take place in Ciel Bleu on the 11th of April. Together with Nils Henkel and Joachim Wissler, Onno Kokmeijer will prepare a six-course menu. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend this special event, but I am glad that I have been able to contribute, by selecting the wines.
My name is Romana Echensperger and I am sommelier of Althoff Collection, currently working at Restaurant Vendome*** in Bensberg. For the event, I have selected some very special wines that combine perfectly with the dishes prepared by the chefs. The wines are of unmistakable quality and have a very specific character, which makes them an additive in the total taste experience. We call this a short trip through the German world of wines.
I wish everyone who will attend the déjeuner dînatoire on Sunday a unique culinary experience, although I am convinced that my German and Dutch colleagues will make that happen. It will be a day to remember!
