 On Sunday the 29th of August it’s here again, the beachparty for le bon vivant. It’s the third edition of the Alliance Summer Tasting which will take place at the StrandZuid in Amsterdam.
34 of the greatest chefs of the Netherlands and Belgium are invited to this event to let you enjoy the most delightful summer dishes and wines.
This year the French Ciel Bleu Restaurant and the traditional Japanese Yamazato Restaurant will also be there to excite your taste buds and tell you more about our culinary creations. We look forward meeting you, and taste the summer together!

Ciel Bleu to Present Germany's Culinary Elite on April 11th |

During a déjeuner dînatoire, the German top chefs Joachim Wissler of Restaurant Vendome (***) and Nils Henkel of Restaurant Lerbach (***) will be preparing, in cooperation with Onno Kokmeijer (**) , a never-to-be-repeated six-course menu, preceded by various amuse-bouches.
The six-course Ciel Bleu Presents... menu is € 249.00 including matching wines and transportation by Infiniti car (in the Amsterdam area). Excluding the wines the menu is € 160. Make sure you do not miss this opportunity!

Hotel Okura Amsterdam celebrates its Michelin stars |

 It has just been announced that the restaurants of Hotel Okura Amsterdam have retained their Michelin stars. The idiosyncratic French Ciel Bleu Restaurant, awarded two Michelin stars, and the traditional Japanese Yamazato Restaurant, holder of one Michelin star, would like to celebrate this with you.
Every Sunday from January 10 to February 28 inclusive, our star chefs will be presenting an exclusive ‘Dine Around’ menu. This very special menu starts off with three traditional Japanese courses at the Yamazato Restaurant, followed by three idiosyncratic French courses at the Ciel Bleu Restaurant, enabling you to enjoy exclusive dishes from two star restaurants in one evening. We are currently working on the realization of a new project.... “Taste of Okura”, Culinary Center will open its doors before the Christmas holidays!
Soon you will have the opportunity to prepare the dishes of Okura’s chefs yourself in this new cooking studio, while the sommeliers explain how to pair wine and sake with your culinary creations. Did you always want to create the dishes of Ciel Bleu? This is your opportunity!

 On Sunday the 30th of August the Alliance Summer Tasting is organized again. The location of the Alliance Summer Tasting is for the second time in a row StrandZuid in Amsterdam. All 35 ‘Alliance Chefs’ of The Netherlands and Belgium will attend the event, including Onno Kokmeijer of Ciel Bleu and Akira Oshima of the traditional Japanese Yamazato Restaurant. The chefs prepare delicious summer dishes, accompanied by fine wines, especially for this occasion. They also look forward to explaining you about their culinary pieces of art in person.
