Ciel Bleu meets... Down Under

finefoodhukalodge_small.jpgFrom 1 through 14 July the culinary event ‘Ciel Bleu meets...’ is again on the calendar. This event is organised annually in the Ciel Bleu Restaurant(**). Each year a Netherlander active on the international culinary scene is invited to spend two weeks with Onno Kokmeijer, Executive Chef & Manager, to bring out a special culinary event.

 This year Executive Chef David Griffiths of the famed Huka Lodge in New Zealand will visit the Ciel Bleu Restaurant. Dutchman Alex van Heeren is the proprietor of this excellent Lodge as well as another magnificent property, Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate, Franschhoek, South Africa. Huka Lodge is situated in an extra-ordinary location – on the banks of the Waikato River, within a dedicated nature reserve, in Taupo. The Ciel Bleu Restaurant offers you the opportunity to taste specialities from New Zealand and creations by this Executive Chef without having to travel all the way to New Zealand. The Ciel Bleu Meets... Down Under dinner is comprised of six courses. Three courses will be prepared by Chef David Griffiths of Huka Lodge*, accompanied with wines from New Zealand. The other three courses will be creations by Onno Kokmeijer, complemented by Grande Provence wines from Alex van Heeren’s South African estate. The “Ciel Bleu Meets”...dinner is € 97.50, with matching wine selections at an additional charge.
